Done and done, darlings - my first picture for 2009! :3 And so that you can actually see that the year has changed, I designed me a new signature/watermark thingie, which can be found from the picture as well. And about this picture; I really, really worked my ass off with it. :,D I'm glad I had my friend *wolfself there to tell me which anatomical errors I was making while I drew the lines so I was able to make the picture better! Thank you so much for her for supporting my work! And as for the coloring, it took it's share of time and I was able to practice some shading at the same time and think about which way I want to take my shading style. :3 I mean, I want to evolve as well, but I'll just have to search for the right way. But as for now, I tried to put my personal best into this picture. I think, at least when comparing it to my first picture from 2008 ([link]), I have done at least some progress during the year. :3 Hopefully I'll do some this year as well.

All in all, I'm quite happy how this turned out, coloring, shading and lines, even if I do know there are many things I could have done better. :3 The lady in the picture is supposed to be a robot geisha, and that's where the title kinda comes from too. :,D And I just had to draw some retro rainbows as well, since I'm having a sort of a phase going on with them. And as for the robot, I wanted to take the traditional geisha hairstyle and transform it into this kind of plastic headdress/part for the robot. And in case you can't tell, the flowers on the background have speakers to them, just to add some futuristic detail.

I think I might sell this as a print in the upcoming Tracon event! :3
